Todd Whitlock

Founder and Principal

As the Company's resident technology expert, Todd has seen the company's size more than triple since it was spun off from his original company, ProSys, LLC, in February 2004.

A former owner of Network Management Solutions and ProSys, Todd has served as a consultant and network engineer for national companies like Allied Signal, Scott & Stringfellow, Honeywell, ABB (now Alstrom Power), Signet Bank (now Wachovia), and dozens of Richmond-area businesses.

Todd has earned over 20 industry certification designations, including:

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
  • Microsoft Certified Small Business Specialist
  • Compaq Accredited Systems Engineer
  • Cisco Certified Design Expert
  • Citrix Certified Administrator
  • Certified Check Point Security Engineer
  • Certified NetAnalyst
  • Novell Certified NetWare Engineer

In addition to participating in the local Small Business Servers User Group, Todd has served as VP of Finance for the Southern Virginia Chapter of HelpDesk International (the world's largest IT service and support membership association).

Todd earned his Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from Old Dominion University in 1990. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and his two young children in Richmond, Virginia. He enjoys golf, reading, hiking, and NASCAR.

Jennifer Perrow Whitlock

Principal

Jennifer Perrow Whitlock co-owns The HelpDesk Company with her husband, Todd Whitlock. As head of Administration and Business Development, Jennifer has seen revenues increase by at least 20% each year since the company was founded in February 2004.

Jennifer is active in the community, serving as the current Past President of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO)'s Richmond Chapter, a member of the planning committee for BizLinc 2010, and as an Advisory Board Member of ITT School of Business. She is also a member of the NAWBO Richmond Foundation Board, RichTech, the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, The Venture Forum, and Mended Little Hearts. She is an active volunteer at her children's elementary school and contributes a new creation annually to It's In the Bag!, the primary fundraiser for the Legal Information Network For Cancer (LINC).

With a background in technology recruiting, Jennifer formerly owned Kensington Recruiting. She has also worked as a recruiter for LandAmerica, Xperts, Signet Bank, and IPC Technologies.

Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia in 1992. She lives with her husband and their two young children in Richmond, Virginia. She enjoys knitting, reading, and hiking.
